The main deck of the 388 has a minimalist, clean design that allows for more freedom of movement. The cockpit is an excellent space for lounging or having a meal with friends and includes a built in cooler with cooling element. The transom gate folds down to extend the sitting area and two lounge seats offer a place to enjoy the sun.

The salon is extremely open and light thanks to the skylights featured on all Hanse Yachts. The materials, wood, and furnishings are all as elegant as possible while also having a sense of practicality. Space is plentiful in the salon and the galley is well-equipped to handle meal preparation for multiple guests.

MEET KOH - I - NOOR

C&C 61 Kohinoor This custom C&C 61 was originally built for Herbert Von Karajon, the conductor of the Berlin Orchestra. The original name of this yacht was "HELISARA" and was extensively raced in the Mediterranean. She was sold to a French admiralty lawyer who continued racing her in the Mediterranean. The current owner purchased this yacht in Jan 1984 and sailed her at that time across the Atlantic to Antigua. It was raced in Antigua race week

1984 and then sailed north to Bermuda and finally to the great lakes, Kohinoor was raced occasionally in the lakes until 1992 at which time it underwent a 10-year refurbishment where nearly everything was upgraded or replaced. It went back into the lakes fall of 2002 and shipped to Seattle in the fall of 2003. It underwent complete repaint of topsides and bottom at that time and was moored at Roche Harbor in 2004, It remained at Roche until 2006 when it was again put on the hard until fall of 2010.

There has been more than $1,200,000 spent on the complete refurbishment of this fine yacht. It is only with great sacrifice that this yacht is now for sale. The design was originally commissioned by Tom Fisher of Detroit whose object was a fast cruiser capable of handling the 12 meters of the day on a boat-for-boat basis. Specifically, he had ideas of being consistently first to finish in New York Yacht Club cruises, which of course meant getting there ahead of

the 12's. However, since his home waters were to be Lake St. Clair, he imposed the stringent draft restriction of eight feet. In the longer term, he had hoped to campaign the yacht internationally - hence her name. Mr. Fisher did not proceed with construction as crew "complications" set in. At that time (1969), this firm, C&C Yachts Limited, was being

"assembled" from four small firms and we took the decision to go ahead with tooling for the 61 - to the best of my knowledge the largest production fiberglass boat of the time. This hull has 15 layers of fiberglass with double balsa core in stressed areas. As one of the earliest maxi racers, the hull is extremely substantial. All of the thru hull fittings have been replaced with cast bronze/SS ball valves. The bottom has been completely sand blasted and sealed with

epoxy 2001/2002, then faired and painted, the last bottom paint applied Spring 2023. An extra-large grounding plate has been installed. A 10hp American bow thruster has been installed. This is a 24-volt electric thruster with its own glass matt battery and charging system shared with the Muir 3000 24-volt windlass. Engines: The main engine was replaced with a Volvo TMD 40 turbo diesel 136 hp in 1987 and has minimum hours on it and is connected to a three blade feathering Max propeller with a drip less SS coupler. An 8kw Westerbeke generator was added in 1995. This is also diesel. Both engines are in a completely redone engine compartment which has been extremely well insulated and have a Reverso oil change system as well as a halon fire system installed. Both engines have had new stainless-steel risers, mufflers, and exhaust hoses installed. There is a complete 12 and 24 charging system. Racor fuel filters and new fuel valves are in the engine compartment. New electric and manual bilge pumps Mast: The mast was rebuilt and reinforced, adding 9 ft to the original structure. The entire operation was engineered and designed by 3 C&C navel architects. It was built by Klacko marine for C&C in 1990. The chain plates and rod rigging were beefed up and new runners were added. A Harken track was installed in 2000 for the new mainsail delivered in 2002bringing the mast to a towering 92 ft. in total overall length with triple spreaders giving her a new 91 ft. bridge clearance. The boom was

remade with an extra 3 ft additional length. New Bulk heads double epoxied in. New fuel tanks both of more than 200 gallons. Replaced sail bins and put in large v berth for extra accommodations. All teak interior. Doors solid teak Curved teak stairway. Completely New Galley. Additions in 2002: Larger fridge. New refrigeration system. All new through hulls. All new oversized wiring. New Plumbing. Three freshwater tanks 300 gallons total. Webasto Thermos

HULL

The chain plates and rod rigging were beefed up and new runners were added. Harkin track was installed in 2000 for the new main sail delivered in 2002. The mast is now 92 feet in total overall length with triple spreaders. The boom was remade with an additional 3 feet of length. There is a NAVtech hydraulic system controlling the backstay tension out haul tension and vang tension. Running rigging has been mainly replaced with spectra halyards and spin sheets. A Hood roller furring head stay was added in 1990.

DECK EQUIPMENT

Two large electric, two speed Anderson self tailing winches were installed in 2002 replacing the old grinders. There are 18 barient winches, including a large three speed main sail self tailing winch. The main sail travel track was redone when the new boom was added. A cast aluminum and stainless steel stemhead was added with new windlass and a 65 pound spade anchor. This was the anchor judged to be best setting in any condition. All stanchions have been replaced as have almost all deck sheaves and blocks. Several small hatches have been installed in 2002. A deck wash pump has been installed. A dedicated chain locker was made.

The aft cockpit has been completely remade with a custom curved teak seat as well as all newer electronics and new larger battleship wheel. The mid cockpit has new stainless opening port windows installed complete convertible enclosure for mid ships cockpit was added.

BELOW DECKS

All of the following have been performed and placed into service as of 2002.

Two new aluminum 200+ gallon fuel tanks. Three plastic and fiberglass water tanks were replaced as well. An electric computank system tells of all tank levels.

All bulkheads have been replaced and re-bonded with epoxy. All wiring has been replaced with oversized wire throughout.

Plumbing has also been totally replaced, including hoses and belts. a Bendix washer dryer has been installed opposite the NAV station. Two larger holding tanks have been installed as well with macerators.

The cabin Sole has been replaced with solid teak and ash floorboards. A custom curved companion stairway has been replaced along with new solid teak doors and handrails. Several curved buffets with marble countertops have been built in several cabins. There are extensive use of inlays and compound curves in this totally custom interior. The settee and the main couch in the lounge area are done and beautiful dark green leather. New station has been designed and built in mostly solid teak.

The galley has been relocated and has Corian countertop with solid drawers fiddles and doors with antique glass. Propane has been totally eliminated and a Mile electric stove top with convection microwave oven has been installed.

All light fixtures are the gold plated marine grade with an additional complete night set featuring red lens and courtesy foot lights. Door hardware is solid brass with magnetic brass doorstops.

There have been two heads installed both with vacuum flush systems. The head has a marble countertop and teak walls and solid vanities. There is a separate shower forward, which has been glassed in place and finished with awl grip. The aft head is also been completely glassed in place awl gripped and equipped with marble countertop.

There is a large hatch forward for sail exchange or emergency exit and this has been completely refurbished.

A Webasto diesel furnace for a heated water system has been installed with thermostats in each cabin. Two Cruise air air conditioning units have also been installed with the above thermostats controls. The stainless steel fridge has been enlarged and now is a fridge and separate freezer. A new 10 gallon stainless water heater installed. Aft state room has added a sofa and desk while enlarging the bed. All mattresses custom-made with custom sheets, down comforters, and spreads.

ELECTRIC

Two new bass panels at NAV station control running lights and electronics.

Two new bass electric panels with lighted switches have been installed for 110 V and 12 V systems.

All batteries are no maintenance glass mat with new battery switches throughout. A 10 KVSGS magnetic isolating transformer prevents any shore power shorts directly to surrounding waters. a pro siene inverter charger 3000 KW sine wave handles the battery charging.

Two new smart battery chargers added 2023 for the 24 V system.

Taking on the family resemblance, the CNB 66 was designed as the largest sailing yacht that could be handled by a family crew. It can be equipped with the hydraulic roller-furling boom developed in an exclusive partnership with Hall Spars. Endowed with a carbon bowsprit, her elegant lines conceal an abundance of volume, exploited with all our know-how. This is the case, for example, in the owner's cabin, where the queen size island bed is offset to the side to remain invisible when the door is open. In the light-filled saloon that occupies the entire beam (5.50 m), the large, nearly 3-metre long sofa to starboard can be divided into three parts to increase the seating around the adaptable saloon's massive table. As for the galley, we wished it to be practical, well ventilated, but in direct contact with the living space. Decoration and interior environments are designed by Jean-Marc Piaton and Rafael Bonet. Outside, there is clear separation between the lounging and handling areas. As on the One-offs, we have sought throughout to eliminate differences in level in order to facilitate movement without impairing safety. Finally, what sailing yacht of this size can boast a tender garage enabling the launching in less than a minute of a 3.25-metre tender with its engine?

Accommodations

Interior has generous teak throughout and teak and holly sole. Nine opening ports and two large overhead hatches provide great light and ventilation. Four dorades add to the level of airflow.

The forward stateroom is a V-berth with teak cabinets port and starboard. An open shelf above the cabinets provides additional storage.

Full head and shower are to port and private to the salon. There is a chain locker forward.

The main salon has a large U-shaped dinette to port. Teak cabinet and open shelves are outboard.

To starboard is a full size Pullman berth. Three deep drawers and open cubbyholes below the Pullman berth provide ample storage.

Overhead is a beautiful butterfly hatch with tinted glass. A well- designed nav station with a 40-inch wide chart table with two large chart drawers and additional cabinets below.

A quarter berth follows with continuous teak cabinets outboard and an opening port to the cockpit. The U-shaped galley is to port. There is a prepared space for a galley stove, but it is not installed. Engine access is through the

quarter berth and through the removable companionway steps.

Rigging & Sails

The vessel was a cutter rig with masthead forestay secured to the bowsprit. The main mast is stepped on deck.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Master stateroom: The master stateroom features a centerline 80" x 64" queen sized berth with a custom quilted mattress. Beneath the berth are four drawers, with additional storage under the berth. At the head of the bed is a recessed fiddled bookshelf. Cherry staving lines the hull sides, with fiddled nightstand shelves on either side at the head of the bed. Aft of those and on port is a locker with shelves; on starboard there are a pair of locker doors; one with shelving and the other a cedar lined hanging space. Beneath those is a changing seat with storage below that. There are two overhead hatches, one opening port and a Hella fan for ventilation. Additional lighting is provided by two reading lights, one large round overhead light and seven small, recessed LED lights. As you move aft into the hallway space, there is a cedar-line hanging locker with a fiddled shelf above. Headroom in the master stateroom is 6'1".

Head: The head is located on port between the saloon and master stateroom and has 6'1" headroom. It is constructed of molded fiberglass for easy maintenance and has an integral non-skid floor. As you enter, the head is angled to the left with the sink and circular shower stall to the right of that. The Granicote curved counter space has an integral round sink, with a polyethylene door locker beneath the sink and three cherry faced lockers above the sink and head, with a mirrored panel locker door above the sink. The shower stall has a fiberglass seat, with polyethylene door locker storage areas beneath and above it. The shower door is curved and made of frosted acrylic. There are two overhead lights, two opening ports and an opening hatch in this space.

Saloon: The 4000 saloon is truly sumptuous, with exquisite cream Ultraleather cushions that are very well done and hardwood cherry all around you. The arched headliner is a cream laminate, with cherry staving accent strips. Headroom is a comfortable 6'4". In keeping with Tartan's reputation for well-ventilated spaces, there is a large hatch overhead and four opening ports, with two dorade vents and a Hella fan augmenting them.

The port settee is C-shaped, with storage and tankage beneath it. The settee can pull out to create a 7'2" x 46" berth when desired. There is more storage behind the seat backs, while above are two shelving lockers and a fiddled bookshelf along the hullside.

On starboard, there are two barrel-back seats that are perfect for curling up with a book and a cup of coffee in the morning, or a glass of wine in the evening. Between the seats and forward are two table areas, both with storage space beneath them. There is also storage beneath and behind the seats on this side. A narrow, fiddled shelf runs along behind both seats; above and behind that are three lockers with shelves and another fiddled bookshelf. Between the seating is a cherry drop leaf dinette table, with drawers and a top-access storage space in the center.

In addition to the opening ports and hatch, there are lots of lights, with two swivel reading lights, two round overhead lights, seven dimmable overhead lights and two centerline LED lights over the dinette table.

Nav station: Located on starboard and across from the galley, the spacious nav station is facing forward and quite comfortable. The seat, back and integral arm rest are nicely upholstered, with room for two. Storage, battery switches and winch breakers are beneath the seat. The nav table itself is large enough for a regular chart, has a map light on a flex arm, loads of storage beneath the lid and three drawers below that. Electrical panels and electronics are to the right and neatly organized. Ventilation is provided by an opening port, an overhead dorade vent and a Hella fan. Headroom here is 6'3". Additional lighting comes from two dimmable overhead lights and two overhead round lights.

Galley: The Tartan 4000 galley is amazing and has loads of storage and counterspace. The cherry fiddled Granicote countertops are wrap-around in a J-shape at the base of the companionway on port. The Granicote sinks are integral, oriented towards centerline and facing forward. Beneath the sinks is double doored storage space. Continuing around toward the hull, there is a custom niche for a countertop convection oven.

To the left of that and along the hull is a two-burner range; double door storage with shelves is below that. To the left of that cabinet is a set of two drawers, with a drop-down locker beneath them. Above and along the hull are two single door and one double door locker, all with shelves.

Along the aft counter is a top-loading freezer and a top and front-loading refrigerator. A drop door locker is above the refrigerator and a locker with shelves is above the freezer. The countertop wraps back out along the companionway steps, with a shelved locker beneath the counter there.

All in all, one would be hard put to ask for a nicer galley- and the configuration makes for easy bracing while at sea. Headroom in here is between 6'3" and 6'4". Ventilation is provided by two opening ports, an overhead hatch, a dorade vent and a Hella fan. Additional lighting comes from three dimmable overhead lights and three overhead round lights.

Aft stateroom: As you enter the aft stateroom there is a hanging locker to your left with a fiddled shelf above it. Along the hullside are three drop-down door lockers running the length of the berth, with a generous size fiddled shelf above that. The fore and aft-oriented berth has a custom 78" x 55" x 47" mattress. Beneath the mattress is storage and battery banks. Headroom in here is 6'2"; ventilation is good with three opening ports, one overhead hatch and a Hella fan. Additional LED lighting is provided by three dimmable lights above, a reading light and an overhead round light.

Vessel Walkthrough

Starting aft you will be impressed by the large swim platform for access to the water and access to the spacious cockpit. The cockpit is a perfect place to entertain or enjoy evening cocktails. Forward are two sliding glass doors that provide entry to the Main Salon with an L Shaped settee on the Starboard side. The Salon also features comfortable seating on the Port Side with the comfort you would expect. Looking forward to the Salon you will find the entertainment center with a Samsung 32: TV and Bose Surround sound. The large windows all have blinds, and the sliding doors have curtains for privacy. Cabinets line the lower half of the port side including one panel for DC and AC circuit breakers.

As you walk forward, you step up to the galley and pilothouse area, where mahogany steps lead up to the flybridge. The galley is well equipped with all the comforts of home including a Vitri Fridge and Freezer, Induction cooktop, Double basin molded sink, Microwave oven, Corian counter tops and generous storage drawers and cabinets. The Dinette is port and features an L shaped Corian tabletop with comfortable seating for 4 or 5 plus the helm seat for 6. It is a bright area with large windows and great for indoor meals or entertainment. The Helm and Captain's chair are to the starboard side and offer electronics and features including the ICOM VHF Radio, Bennet Trim Tab Controls, back up Simrad Camera, Simrad Auto Pilot, Vetus Bow Thruster controls, Sea Dog Spotlight controls and Muir Windlass controls as well as Radar and Garmin Chart Plotter. The area does have some mechanical units, such as pumps, but is suitable for additional storage. The adjoining engine room is very well laid out, with room to maneuver around both engines. The mahogany staircase to the flybridge is well designed and provides easy access to the spacious flybridge. The helm is to starboard forward with a bench seat at the helm. There is generous seating and a wet bar aft. There is seating that divides the flybridge from the davit and 12' Tender and Outboard that goes with the boat. The Bridge electronics mirror the electronics at the lower helm and there is an EPRIB as well. Below decks accommodation includes three staterooms and two heads. Forward is a VIP Stateroom, an upper and lower berth stateroom, a portside head and portside head with a separate stall shower. The washer and dryer are located at the bottom of the stairs in the companionway with a conveniently located hanging locker. Both Staterooms offer generous storage, and the VIP has its own TV. The full beam Master Stateroom has an ensuite master head forward in the stateroom which features Corian countertops, Molded sink, large, mirrored medicine cabinet, separate shower stall and provides a private head for the master stateroom. The Master also features a nightstand, a beautiful and large makeup table, a 32" Samsung TV, generous storage and dedicated climate control. This Tim Jackett design is the epitome of a performance cruiser. Fast and sea kindly, she draws the gaze of all that see her. Her modern underbody and sleek lines deliver excellent control on all points of sail. This 1999 Tartan 3800 is hull #42 and, as one of the last 3800's built, includes Majestic Blue topsides, a highlighted white cove stripe, and beautifully varnished teak toe rails.
